This cube is fast. I might say the fastest that MoYu has ever produced. Because of that it is very easy to overshoot and lock up. If I was a sub-10 second solver with accurate turning I might like this cube more. Corner-cutting is nothing to brag about. It is around what other cubes are, and I would say the AoLong, Gans 357, and Yuxin are better.
What I do not like about this cube is the feel. I heard some people say it is an AoLong mixed with a WeiLong, but that seems far off. I would say it has the light and cheap feeling of the GuanLong mixed with the deforming properties of an AoLong. Neither of these things I prefer. Think of it as a GuanLong with better corner-cutting. If you are a newer cuber this would not be one to get. If you like light/airy cubes that feel very loose even on tight tensions than you can give it a shot. I still prefer my WeiLong and AoLong over the HuaLong. |

I love this cube! After having the Gans 357 be my mains for a little bit more than a year, I'm glad I finally moved on! This cube is extremely fast and smooth (just like every other 3x3 out on the market now). I think the feel of this cube is different then anything put out recent. To me, it feels like the YueYing combined with a WeiLong or an AoLong. It has the "crunchiness" from the YueYing" and the speed and corner cutting from the Wei/AoLong. It has great corner cutting and is very controllable. I highly recommend this cube for anyone who is a fan of either of the cubes mentioned a few sentences ago.

When I first got it out of the box it was really sandy, it would always overshoot. After 10 solves I lubed it with petroleum jelly (vaseline), it became my favorite cube it is now my main.

It is really a fantastic cube. It was extremely fast out of the box, and a little uncontrollable. However, I got the hang of it on the first day itself. I have had no corner twists till now. The colors are attractive too. I like this cube very much and this certainly shall my main.

The hualong has been very hit and miss for me. I can never get good times with it simply because of how uncontrolable it is. The corner cutting and speed is amazing but it's speed makes me miss my turns in algorithms (especially y-perms) and it unsually brings my average down by about 2 seconds. Oh and I almost forgot that if your tensions aren't tight enough this cube EXPLODES. A LOT! I think in 100 solves I'll have 2 explosions (not pops, much more violent). Seriously my dayan 2x2 doesnt't pop as muchas this P.O.S. But if you prefer fexible, fast, and crunchy type cubes this is for you. ps tighten tensions a lot

This cube is my first cube and still remains as my main. If you lubricate and tension this cube right, it will have no popping issues with on par corner cutting. I can suggest this cube to intermediate and advanced solvers
P.S my tensions are medium and i put a bit of weight 2 lube over the core and also for the pieces. I average around 27 seconds

It's an awesome cube, it took quite a few solves to get really good and to be less crunchy as it was out of the box.
It's even better when broked in and lubed.

This cube is very fast. Corner cutting is great and doesn't really pop or corner twist on me. It feels fast but yet controllable enough for me. Adding maru + weight 2 would make it even better. Definitely my main

It starts out crunchy and fast, but as you break it in it becomes very smooth. Tensions have to be relatively loose for the corner cutting to be good, which can sometimes lead to popping. Other than that the cube is very good. Top 3 on the market.

Excellent corner cutting a crisp crunchy feel that I really enjoy and the speed is really fast overall this cube is amazing

This cube had a great nice fast feel. The corner cutting was great and minimal lock-ups. I only had 1 corner twist in a solve ever, and the cube never pops, this is definitely my new main, it has a great fast feel which is what I like in a cube

The HuaLong is 16 dollars from TheCubicle. Out of the box it was very crunchy. After lubing and tensioning this cube is very nice. After breaking it in, it still has the crunchy feeling, but not in a bad way.

This cube was very sandy out of the box. After lube, tension, and about 500 solves, this cube became very fast. This cube is very non-cubic, always wanting to move on my mid-loose tensions. However, this cube can do nearly 60° corner cutting and about a piece in reverse. The mechanism and torpedoes allow basically no popping whatsoever but lookups can occur around a very small range. This cube is perfect for people who do not care too much about stability but like a very fast and smooth cube.

Very fast, great corner cutting but it can be a little uncontrolable. It is an overall great cube a main for many

This cube was a bit dry out of the box but after about two solves I was very impressed with the out of the box performance. I have not yet lubed this cube but have loosened it a bit. It has amazing corner cutting but not so much reverse. It does lock up on me sometimes but very little. I've had this cube for a while and I've never had a corner twist and maybe one or two pops which is great. This is an amazing cube and I recommend it for speedcubes that are looking for a FAST cube but also a clicky one since this cube has a clicky over smooth feel.

This cube was advertised as a mix between an AoLong and a WeiLong, and certainly doesn't disappoint. It was said to have 60 degree corner cutting, which unfortunately isn't true, but can definitely cut over 45 degrees. Out of the box it has the typical scratchy MoYu feel, but after only 5-10 solves it disappeared to reveal a smooth, fast and slightly bumpy feel. It is quite fast, making it quite enjoyable for intermediate to advanced speedcubers, but I wouldn't recommend this to beginners as it would be uncontrollable. Pops are non existent, unless you have your cube very loose, but on a moderate tension you will find it does not pop. One thing to mention is that like the Gans cubes, the Hualong tends to flex. This suits my rough turning style, but those with a lighter turning style may not like it as much. This has been my main from the moment I unboxed it, and I'm confident nothing will replace it for a while. I have only lubed it with 3 drops of Maru lube, which I thought was enough to get it good. I strongly recommend this to any speedcuber.

This cube is one of the best 3x3's I have ever played with. The turning is very smooth, yet quite loud. This cube is also very fast, which is what I like in a cube. I have gotten only about three corner twists since I've gotten it which was a few months ago. The healing corner cuts 45 degrees with ease. Reverse is easily a full piece. It is very hard to get a lock up on this cube due to the great corner cutting. Lastly, popping. This cube has never popped on me, and I'm sure it never will. Overall, the healing is a great 3x3 and is definitely my new main.

When I first got this cube, it was a bit scratchy. After about 50 solves, that went away. It had a blocky and fast feeling. Now I did about 150 solves and it is extremely fast and it really fits my style. It is WAY better than the ZhanChi. The corner cutting seemed to get about 65º and I got only 1 corner twist. I got almost no locking and no popping. I got all my PBs with this cube. If you like a very fast cube, go for this but if you like a controllable cube you could try this but it wouldn't really fit your style. Overall, I really like this cube.

This cube requires some breaking in. I was not a fan at first, but after taking it apart, re-tensioning it and lubing it it is now a much better cube. It does cut corners well but it cannot be on tighter tensions. There is a fine line between no corner cutting and amazing corner cutting. But even on tight tensions it doesn't lock up. This cube just flies, and if you are not a fast solver it is easy to loose control of this cube. That is my only gripe about the HuaLong. It move and flexes around a lot. When I am turning fast it is not a problem, but it is difficult at times to keep it under control on slower turns. I am around a 15-second solver. On my good solves this cube is the best but it is easy to over shoot or completely mess up a solve if you are not ready for it.
This cube is very difficult to corner twists, but I have gotten a couple on looser tensions.
