Out of the box this cube was very hard to turn because the springs were too tight. I replaced the springs with Lan Lan springs which made it very good. This cube is very smooth and it is very easy to turn fast and accurate. Popping only happens on the very worst lock-ups and so it is not much of a problem. The stock stickers on this cube are much better than any of my other cubes. Overall, I would recommend this cube because it is cheap, but be prepared to do a spring swap or some other spring mod to improve the speed.

Out of the box, this cube is pretty good. The only problem is the springs in the pieces, and the ball-bearings. I recommend you take them out entirely, or use the Cubeologist mod on them (search 'How to set up a skewb cubeologist' on YouTube), but don't do this if you are not sub-10, which is pretty easy with some practice, but only then will you feel the cube's true speed and smoothness~

The Shengshou skewb is a pretty smooth cube. Corner cutting is well, and it does not lock nor pop much. The only problem with it is that the springs may be too hard so the cube may be difficult to turn. The ball bearings also do make some noise, and with them removed, it becomes quiet and smooth but lacks the control. If the springs are replaced by softer springs the cube do feels better and the turning may be improved.
