The YJ Guanlong is a interesting cube. First off the price makes it very affordable for every one to buy. The cube is light so those who like heavy cubes may not like it. Corner cutting is 45 degrees with force and reverse is 1/3 of a piece. The cube may catch when reverse cutting. The stickers are nice and overall, a good cube for beginners. If you are fast, then its time to upgrade.

The Yong Jun 3x3 Guan Long Cube is a cube which suitable for beginners and intermediates.
When I first bought and tired the cube, the turning speed is acceptably fast and the corner cutting is fair, but definitely not great. Locking is particularly often, which makes me kind of annoyed. It can corner cut at maximally 45 degrees, which seems to be exceptional, especially when you're purchasing it for 10 Hong Kong Dollars ( The price of this cube for other countries may be different ).
However, it is definitely not smooth. It requires quite a huge amount of force to perform a corner cut, which makes my hands really painful and tired after every solve. ( Note that I'm a beginner with PB at 34 seconds ) In the bright side, corner twists are really minimal, which makes this cube a stable one.
After using this cube for about 3 to 4 days, I decided to adjust the tension of it. I adjusted it far more looser than the manufacturer did, and the result is much better. Locking became relatively minimal, and the corner cutting is much smoother. Popping became a bit more frequent, but still minimal compared to other cubes.
In conclusion, I will recommend this cube to those who need a budget cube, with a stable and acceptable performance. The factory settings may be disappointing, but you can always adjust the cube by using a screwdriver, so this is nothing to worry about. However, if you want to achieve better result, or if you can afford a more expensive cube, I strongly recommend you to have a better cube than this one.

The YJ Guanlong is a great cube for newer cubers like me. Take my review with a grain of salt, because I don't have much to compare it to. It's fast when broken in, but popping (especially center caps) and corner twisting occur when you get a lot of use out of this cube. The best part about the cube is its price. It is great for people on a budget. I think this budget cube is a great cube overall, and it is worth your $4.

This is a fun cube to play around with but it doesn't have any special or especially strong qualities that would make it a good choice for a main.
For a fun experiment, try lubing it with Vaseline. I did that and I really liked the result I got. Of course, don't lube any of your mains with Vaseline.

This cube is definitely worth the price.its only four dollars and is definitely the best if it's price. This should be the first cube you get, and it's good without lube.

Got this cube a few weeks ago, scratchy at first, but it disappeared after playing with it for 2 days. Fast cube, but the corner twists are driving me crazy.

The Guanlong is a very cheap speedcube and is very fast. Out of the box, it came with tight tensions so I did loosen it. Corner cutting on this cube is just 45 degrees and reverse is only about half a piece. I get a lot of locks on this cube. Corner twist do happen but not often. The popping on this cube is very minimal. Another problem on this cube is that some of the center caps tend to fall off really easily. Overall this cube is great for beginners.

This cube is decently fast, it corner cuts past 45, , and it almost never locks up, at least for me. One out of 10 solves results in a corner twist, which is kind of annoying. The anti-pop mechanism is good, because it never popped on me before. This has a very high performance to price ratio, because it is only 4 bucks. This is a good cube for clubs, because it is so cheap.

The Yj GuanLong is best known in the cubing community for its very low price of $3-$4. Out of the box it was a very speedy cube that, but it had some issues. The corner cutting on the cube was ok. It could somewhat cut 45° , but it needs a little effort. Any more than 45 and the cube would simply not move. Corner twisting is a problem, but for such a cheap cube with a simple internal mechanism it is expected. Locking is an issue as it frequently locks up making my averages about 5 sec slower. Overall the cube is okay, but i would not recommend the puzzle to beginners as it is too fast. I would also not recommend the puzzle to advanced solvers as there are many problems including locking, corner twists, and the occasional center cap pop. This cube is however a good OH main because of its light turning and airy feel.

The GuanLong isn't the best cube but for the price its okay. It barely corner cuts so it also locks up quite a bit. The stickers personally I don't like but they lasted a while. Overall I recommend this cube for newer cubers

This cube is one of cheaper that it is on the market, and nonetheless this does not turn it into a bad cube. Even after a time to have lubricated it it continues being soft enough and rapid, the cut of corners is not incredible but it is sufficient, though if he is forced it can be blocked, this is solved once gets used to the cube, another thing to standing out is his weight, is very light what makes it comfortable and you can solve often without getting tired, undoubtedly a great cube and very advisable for beginners in the speddcube.

This cube is not as phenomenal is other cubes on the market today but it is a great cube to take out with you to vacations because of it's cheap price. It has a very crispy dry feel and has these large bumps when you turn it. The reason I gave this cube only 3 stars is because of how bad it is compared to other speed cubes on the market. The speed of this is is almost faster than my broken in Aolong v2 with Hualong springs. However, with the cheap feel and it's very light weight, it get's uncontrollable and locks up because if it's awful reverse corner cutting which is about half a cubie. When you go over half a cubie, it just completely locks up and nothing happens unless it's a pop. Popping is also slightly a problem. In order to keep the corner cutting decent, you have to keep the tensions loose. So, popping is a problem because of it's design in the cube and from the loose tensions which is also why it corner twists roughly every 3 solves which get's irritating. Overall, this cube is not that great compared to modern day speed cubes but is still a good cube to get for it's cheap price tag.
Also, the corner mechanism is different so if you take out the little pieces filling up the rest of the cubie, the cube has a crunchy airy feel reminiscent to the YueYing.

The yj Guanlong is one of the cheapest cubes on the market today, but does it hold up to other cubes today. Well since its is only around 4 bucks on many speed cube shops the plastic feels very cheep and the stickers are very thin. It can do a little less than 45 degrees and has very minimal reverse. Also due to the lack of corner cutting this cube locks up a little bit and sometimes those locks turn into pops. The speed for me is fast for me from lubing it so many times. And sometimes that speed causes corner twists. That gives my grade of 3 stars on this cube.

The GuanLong is actually a great cube. When I saw the $3 to $4 price tag, I was skeptical at first, but it is actually one of my back-up mains and has become my one handed main. The only problem I have with it is minor lock-ups due to it not having much reverse corner cutting. Regular corner cutting is only about line-to-line as well, making corner cutting not its selling point. If you're making an order from a cube store already, I do think you should add the GuanLong. It is so inexpensive that even if you hate it, which you probably won't, you can't really be mad at yourself for wasting money. It's also a great cube to bring in public because it is easily replaceable if you lose it or if any non-cubers happen to destroy it.

Overall, the Guanlong is a pretty decent speedcube, especially for being priced at around 4 USD. The speed is okay, although being slower than most top speedcubes. The corner cutting is fine, at 45 degrees and 3/4 a cubie reverse. Locks can occur, due to the average corner cutting and the sort of flimsy feel of the puzzle. Corner twists really don't happen on this cube, and popping doesn't either on reasonable tensions. Overall, I feel that this is a great starter speedcube, and does not feel bad at all, despite its low cost.

At $3 USD, this is the cheapest high-end cube on the market. It does not lack quality, however, and is a well-crafted cube. When lubed, it is somehow as fast as the Gans, but the tensions have to be quite loose. At my tensions, corner twisting is a big problem, but I gave it 4 stars, because at normal tensions, it is not a problem. Popping is rarer, due to the torpedoes. Seriously, best Money:Quality ratio on the market. For the school cubing club, I bought nearly 20 of these gems!

I love the guanlong, it's a fair bit lighter then most 3x3's, which is why it's my main in all 3x3 events.
J. Smith (3/10/15)
Overall, it is a good cube for its price. It may be acquired with just $2.85. Though it is a bit blocky, it still has a decent speed. Corner cutting is approximately 1.5 cubies and reverse is acceptable. Corner twists never happen on default tensions due to its blocky design, and popping is rare .
It may lock up a bit and usually do not cut through lockups. The plastic used is cheap, making the cube light, so a significant amount of cube dust has formed during the 1.5 month of use.
Overall, it is a great cube for beginners, to develop an accurate turning style and may be a good cube for OH.

I go this cube for under $4. For the price it is amazing. Aside from that it is nothing special. The correcting is good, but not better than the other top cubes on the market. The same goes for locking and popping. I do often get corner twists which I cannot stand. The cube also feels very cheap which makes it a bit unpleasant to use. Great cube if you are starting out, making mods, or just like very light cubes.
